Six published combat mechanics

These pages separate current-build evidence from unpublished timing, damage, cooldown, mastery and balance details.

Advance and retreat
Aphelis does not move forward automatically. The player chooses when to advance for distance and when to retreat for survival while creatures continue closing the gap.
Charged shots
The current build supports tap-or-hold firing and describes charged shots as one part of the combat rhythm. Published material does not assign universal charge times or damage values.
Combo chains
Combo chains are a published combat mechanic used alongside movement, charged shots, dodges and rites. The public build does not disclose a universal multiplier table.
Dodging
Dodging is a dedicated current-build action used to survive creatures that keep advancing. The published evidence shows a Dodge control but not invulnerability frames or cooldown values.
Screen-clearing rites
Rites are published screen-clearing actions in HUNTORIZON’s combat loop. Public material confirms their role but not rite names, costs, cooldowns or damage.
Hunt Journal mastery
The Hunt Journal records discovered species, victories and hunt counts. Hunts become experience and experience becomes mastery without published effects for every rank.
Evidence boundary

Only names and mechanics visible in current published material are included. Unrevealed content and unsupported specifications are not inferred.
